If you live here in the Bay Area, you are probably already familiar with Title Nine– a women’s athletic apparel and casual clothing store that makes and specializes in high quality sports bras, tops, bottoms, skirts, skorts, capris, and everything else in between. I’ve been a fan of Title Nine for a few years now and have always loved their swimwear but have never tried any of their workout clothing so when they invited me to attend a special “FitFest” event and get professionally fitted by a T9 Bravangelist for a brand new sports bra, I happily RSVPed!*
As every female athlete knows (or should know!), the most important foundation for any workout is a bra designed specifically for your unique body type, size and activity. The bra experts at Title Nine are making it easier and a lot more fun to find the perfect bra by hosting a series of “FitFest” events during the summer here in the Bay Area to help every athlete find her perfect bra for a more comfortable and healthier workout.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE coffee- hot or iced, tall or grande, black or with a decadent splash of half & half, I love the taste, smell, comfort, and routine found in my daily cup, and of course that good ol’ caffeine boost. When the good people of New Grounds Food asked if I wanted to eat my coffee and try their new Mocha Latte CoffeeBar as well as give away a box to my awesome readers, I immediately said yes!*
New Grounds Food was launched in 2013 by two college freshmen who wanted to find a simple and portable way to stay energized without sacrificing nutrition. With that vision in mind, they created CoffeeBar: an all-natural, vegan, gluten free, 100% organic, very tasty energy bar infused with a full cup of fair trade coffee.
The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, individuality, fun and- of course- COLOR! Just in time for a Christmas giveaway, the Hot Chocolate race series asked if I would be an official ambassador for them again this year and of course I said yes! I will be running the San Francisco Hot Chocolate 15K on January 11th and am really looking forward to it- I ran the 5K this year and it was so much fun that I signed up for the race again next year way before they asked me to come back as a Hot Chocolate Blogger- all my bias aside, it is truly a fun race I’m sure to do annually!
Not only is the course beautiful here in SF (oh how I love running Golden Gate Park!) but the schwag really can’t be beat! You get a reusable drawstring bag and a gender-specific, fleece lined, full-zip hoodie, a sweet chocolate bar medal for the 15K, plus a huge post-race mug filled with goodies and a warm chocolate sauce for dipping- YUM! For even more schwag, be sure to enter code SFBlogger4 when you register to get a free Hot Chocolate running hat at packet pick up! Love great race schwag!!!
Tune Belt provides neoprene armbands and belts that carry and protect phones and devices of all sizes. As a runner, I always take a couple devices with me when I hit the road and as a blogger, I take even more- typically my phone, camera, and music player. I’ve had some challenges carrying all these items when running so when the good folks at Tune Belt contacted me and asked if I would try one of their armbands, review it, and give away one to a lucky reader, I happily complied!
Read on to find out how to enter for a chance to win one of these custom, super comfortable sport armbands from Tune Belt!
A few weeks prior to the SF Marathon, the good people of OrthoLite contacted me and offered to give me a pair of their Fusion Insoles to try out, review, and giveaway on my blog- I happily complied as I have never tried insoles before but have always wondered…
Since the race was right around the corner, I didn’t want to introduce anything new into training nor did I want to break the cardinal rule, “Nothing new on race day!” so when the race was over, I popped the insoles out of the box and into my running shoes the very next day and gave them a spin.
I completely wish I had broken that cardinal rule! Since getting back on the asphalt post-injury, the bottoms of my feet have been in excruciating pain, especially during any run longer than 6 miles so you can imagine how my feet felt on additional 7 miles to go! Since using the OrthoLite Fusion insoles, that problem is solved and has been replaced with ultimate comfort. Ahhhhh… (read on to find out how you can enter win your very own pair! 3 lucky winners will be chosen!!!)

Whenever I go shopping at Whole Foods, my first stop is their weekly publication (always hung conveniently by the entrance), “The Whole Deal” which contains coupons, recipes, plus lots of money and time-saving tips. As a parent, savings is good and as a runner, their high quality, natural and organic products are even better: good input = good output. Continue reading →
