2nd Auction for a Cure: Rules & Logistics

Thank you to these generous and philanthropic companies for the sweet product donations!

My online auction kicks off on Monday, March 20th at 9am PST, but I want to give everyone a heads up regarding the rules and logistics in advance so you can be ready to bid!  All proceeds from this auction go directly to my Team in Training efforts for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Every donation supports a great cause, helps to extend blood cancer research, and improves the lives of patients and their families.

On Monday, March 20th at 9am PST the auction will go live- to date, over $2300 worth of running and sporting goods have been donated! And, as you can see above, I’ve really got some FABULOUS support this time around!

Yes, this picture AGAIN! 😉

Each lot will have a minimum starting bid of $25. Once the post is up, all bidders will need to e-mail me at running4thereason@hotmail.com with the name of the lot they wish to bid on and the dollar amount of their bid. Each lot must be raised by $10, minimum, each time; therefore, if you want to raise by $100, go for it, but if you want to raise by $5, your bid will not be accepted.

To place an official bid on an item, email me at running4thereason@hotmail.com. PLEASE NOTE: any bids left in the comments section of the post will NOT reviewed, only bids e-mailed will be considered official and affirmative.

All bidders have until 8pm PST on April 14th to submit a bid. At the close of each day prior, I will update the caption above each auction lot with the highest bid at that moment and the date I submitted the update.

If by the time I close the auction there is a tie of bids for a particular item, lets say three people bid $40 for a running watch, then I will draw those names from a bowl and choose a random winner.

Once you receive a YOU WON email from me, you will then need to donate the specified amount to my TNT page within 24 hours.  When you make the donation, please type in the auction item you have won in the comments section. Once the donation goes through, I will send your mailing address and any other details neede to the company/companies providing the item(s) and the item(s) will then be shipped directly to you. (U.S. shipping address only, no P.O. boxes.)

The winner has 24 hours to make the online donation. If in that time frame the donation is not made, the next highest bidder will be contacted or the item will go back up for raffle.  If there are any items still up for sale after the auction closes on April 12th, they will be re-posted and readers will have a chance to enter a raffle for the remaining items.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding my blog auction format. I am really excited for this, yet again, and am crossing my fingers that this will get me to my fundraising goal for LLS!  Rock n’ Roll Nashville, here I come!!!
